Work Day

Hi all,
we are going to have a workbee tomorrow morning, Saturday, October 15th at 10 am at the Fossa Store.
Tim Breen  with  some help from Dave, have been tearing up the 2nd story floor and now we need to clean it up.
Vacuuming between the rafters, bagging up debree and things like that... Not hard work, but just need a bunch of hands.
Can you volunteer a few hours???
We need to get at least the sub floor down so that we can move the desks upstairs before construction starts downstairs.
PLEASE can you help?

Extending the Gardening Season with Hoop Houses

Dexter’s Jerry Doxtader returns as a presenter for the free workshop “Extending the Gardening Season with Hoop Houses”.

This last workshop of the season will be held at the Abbott Memorial Library meeting room, Dexter on Thursday, Oct. 20 6-8pm. Jerry will discuss the hoop houses he has made, their coverings, the vegetables he grows and how they are planted (container, in-ground, etc.). 

Pre-registration is preferred by contacting the Library at 924-7292.

   We plan to begin again in January.  Your comments and suggestions are always welcome by emailing DDATT at   dexterareatransition@gmail.com

1st Tuesday of the Month

Reminder: it is the 1st Tuesday of the month and time for the monthly meeting of the Dexter Community Farm Project, 7 pm at the Fossa General Store.
We will be talking about the new USDA Grant we are applying for, the 2nd floor floor update, and building updates.
Remember there is no heat yet, so dress warm :)
Open to anyone interested whether they are farmers and or consumers!!!
